Evening Sustainers Spin at SoulCycle

Welcome spring by joining us on a ride at the new SoulCycle in Ardmore on March 21, where we will experience their special brand of spin. No previous spinning or biking experience is required and all levels of fitness are welcome. As the new neighbor of JLP Headquarters, SoulCycle is generously letting the Junior League Sustainers try this class for free! There are showers available at SoulCycle and those who are interested will grab dinner after class at Suburban Square.

Wine Tasting at Kendra Scott Ardmore

Join the Focus Fundraising Committee on Thursday, March 23 as we support the JLP's Mission and beam and bubble over “Wines that Shimmer”! Hosted at the fabulously fun and radiant Kendra Scott Ardmore, you will taste sparkling wines (i.e., champagne, prosecco, cava) and some varietals that have a slight effervescence - all while surrounded by sparkling gems. Enjoy 10% off glittering Kendra Scott merchandise, paired specially for our tasting (as well as 10% off all other gems and housewares). For each purchase made, the store will donate 10% of the sale to the JLP! A League favorite, the dynamic Dr. Quinetta Robson, Baccalaureat Vigne et Vin and Court of Master Sommeliers - Level 1, will return to guide us on our journey. Each tasting of 5-7 different bubbling wines will be paired with delectable bites hand-selected by Dr. Robson. Cost is $50 and event is open to members and non-members of the JLP.
R.S.V.P. required for either the 6 p.m. session or the 7:30 p.m. session.

Training - Your JLP Journey

Have you charted your JLP roadmap? EVT invites you on March 25 to dig deeper and plan out your JLP future. Career “pathing” is the process through which League members map the education, skills, and experience that will enable them to attain volunteer career goals within the League's opportunities. Come learn, share, and prepare! This training is open to New Members, as well as Actives/Sustainers.

Sustainer DIAD with Feeding Thousands Outreach Program

Working together, we can feed thousands. Over the past year, 104,000 meals have been packaged during two Feeding Thousands events! Packaged meals are distributed through the Chester County Food Bank. A group of 10 to 12 volunteers can package 2,000 meals per hour, and the JLP has pledged 15 volunteers for this event on March 25. Volunteers are also welcome to stay longer at the end to help with event cleanup. This event is open to all members.

Empowering You Health Fair

You are invited to the 4th annual Empowering You Health Fair, hosted by The Junior League of Philadelphia! The fair is free and open to the public. Attendees can participate in health screenings, health and wellness discussions, cooking demonstrations, and activities for children. Sign up for Mission Credit or Meeting Credit.

Center City Quota Party

The Thrift Shop Committee invites you to join us for an afternoon of hanging quota and socializing! Rather than asking city-dwelling members to bring quota to us, we're bringing the chance to do quota to you! Please be sure to arrive with sufficient time to process your quota. All quota must be completed by 3 p.m. Please allow one hour to complete your quota. Light refreshments will be served! Hope to see you on April 2!  Please find more details on the JLP calendar.

Transfer Social at Cinder

On April 6, join the Transfer Committee for a casual social event at one of Philadelphia's newest restaurants, Cinder. This is a great opportunity to meet other Transfer members and try a new restaurant. Food and beverages will be purchased by individual attendees.

A Place at the Table Viewing and Discussion

On April 8, join EVT to view and discuss A Place at the Table, a brief movie examining the issue of hunger in America, focusing on the plight of three individuals from different parts of the country who struggle to find adequate nutrition. Attending this training will earn you one (1) Mission Credit.

Spring Service Weekend

The Done in a Day Committee is planning a Spring Service Weekend in support of our Apple a Day Healthy Living InitiativeTM . We hope you will join us for our Spring Service Weekend on April 22-23, 2017.  More details to follow!

Derby Day Watch Party

Sustainer Spring Membership Meeting

Join us on May 7 to recognize Special Sustainers, as well as celebrate our membership in the Junior League of Philadelphia. We hope to see you there!

Sustainer Spring Excursion to Grounds for Sculpture

The Grounds for Sculpture has a constantly evolving collection of superb contemporary outdoor sculptures and rotating exhibits in six indoor galleries. Join us on May 9 for a private docent-led tour of the sculptures at 11 a.m. After our tour, you may choose to have lunch (at your expense) at one of the three restaurants on the grounds and continue to explore the galleries and grounds at your leisure. Assistance will be provided in arranging car pools. Register on the JLP website or via the flyer in the Sustainer mailing
