College Application Tips
How to Choose High School Classes
Students often ask what classes they should take in high school that help with college application. We have summarized the most important aspects student need to know.

1. Rigorous Classes
There are different levels of classes, such as CP, Honors, AP, IB, etc. Colleges, especially selective colleges like to see that students challenge themselves in high school by taking more rigorous classes, such as AP and IB classes.
2. Grades & GPA
The higher, the better. Students need to do well in their classes and keep a good GPA. If students perform well in AP classes, that's even better.
3. Performance Trend
Upward trend is what college love to see in students' transcripts. It includes not only the GPA, but also the number of rigorous classes students take.
4. Classes Related to Future Majors
If students know what majors they will choose in college, taking related classes and doing well in those classes are very important. Also, having balanced class choices should be considered as well.
