Clean Your Closet for a Great Cause!

It's that time and we could use your help!  The Z boutique is in need of your clothing, jewelry, and household items.  Yes that's right.  We could use those things that you are no longer wearing or that are just taking up that much needed space around your house.   So clean out that jewelry box, unclutter the closet, and bring us your unwanted items.  Cleaning out your closet helps a great cause.
 See You at Z Boutique!

About The Z Boutique…
The Z Boutique is a resale women's clothing and accessory store and a program of the Zion Hill Community Development Corporation. The boutique is open to the public and 95% the proceeds of all sales are used to provide programs and services to families and individuals who are experiencing homelessness, who are at risk of becoming homeless, or who are low-income.

What we do with the clothing…
Our primary goal is service to the community. That’s why a lot of the clothing that you donate is given away to make sure that individuals in the community have clothing they can wear for interviews, work, or special events. Clothing and accessories are also sold to the general public and the funds generated are used to continue the work of the Zion Hill CDC. Any items that cannot be used in The Z Boutique are passed on to other nonprofit organizations.

How can I help… you can help by providing donations of suits, dresses, jewelry, shoes, and other clothing and accessories. The clothing should not be outdated (generally not more than 5 years old). All sizes are needed, especially larger sizes
  1.  Gather All Your Unwanted Clothes and Organize Them. While it’s true what they say - that beggars can’t be choosers, we should still try to respect the dignity of those individuals receiving them. Accessories such as earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc. are in high demand.
  2. Make A Detailed Record Of Your Donated Items Try to keep a list of all articles donated, recording information such as the number of clothing articles, the estimated dates of purchase, condition at the time of donation, and the assessed fair market value of each item.
  3. Assign An Appropriate Fair Market Value For Each Clothing Item.
