Paul Michael Lützeler receives 2015 faculty achievement award

Lützeler is the 2015 recipient of the Arthur Holly Compton Faculty Achievement Award, given to a faculty member with an exceptional record of achievement in scholarship and service to their discipline as well as in university service and teaching. 

German author Matthias Göritz joins new PhD program for international writers.

Göritz, a former Max-Kade-Writer-in-Residence, has been selected to receive the William H. Gass fellowship to join the new PhD program for international writers in Comparative Literature.

Alumna shares her thoughts on Germany with the German Bundestag

Betsy Crowder, who graduated with a BA in German in 2013, was recently interviewed by the German Bundestag in conjunction with her internship there.

Erin McGlothlin on representations of Holocaust perpetrators

During her tenure as Mid-Career Faculty Fellow in the Center for the Humanities, McGlothlin was interviewed on the topic of her current book project.

Faculty members join vertical seminar in Digital Humanities

Lynne Tatlock and Kurt Beals participated in a Mellon-funded vertical seminar designed to help senior and junior faculty, postdoctoral students, graduate students and staff better understand the digital humanities and use its techniques.
