Dear Friends of Social Landscapes

April was a busy and fun month for us! Our Permaculture Design Course kick started with 13 participants on a 4-month journey into Permaculture; we ran our first event with St Martins of Tours in Islington, bringing two disparate community groups together to make improvements to a shared public space - Wilton Square (more pictures and a report to follow in the next newsletter); and we started some work on the allotment of Lifelong Family Link, building planters and planting a fruit garden funded by the Love Your Roots Grant from Incredible Edible Lambeth.

Internship and Freelance Opportunities

Do you want to change the social landscape of London? Are you interested in joining an exciting, emerging community interest company with a vision for environmental and social regeneration and resilience?

We are excited to offer these two opportunities:
  • firstly, we are looking for paid freelance admin/PR support, initially for 4-5 hours per week.
  • secondly, we offer unpaid internship opportunities for those who want want to gain work experience in and learn about Permaculture and community engagement. For this role we are looking for a minimum commitment of 3 months.
You can apply for both roles if that is of interest. Please pass this on to people who might be interested/suited for either opportunity!
Other Volunteering Opportunity
Our friend Petra is running gardening sessions with children at the One O'Clock Club in Hillside Gardens Park. They are happening every other week on Thursdays from 2-4pm and we are looking for one person to support her! If this is the right thing for you let us know or if you know anyone else who might be interested, please pass on!

Or, if you just want to join in and do some gardening you are welcome as well! Next session 2pm May 6th, so TODAY! Keep an eye out on facebook for regular anouncements of sessions.
