Political and Civic Engagement
Inspired by the Sisters of St. Joseph, member campuses seek to teach and provide spaces for students to make a difference in the local and world community. Democratic engagement requires students’ political participation. Through voter registrations, educational forums and academic coursework, the Association of Colleges of Sisters of St. Joseph are educating and mobilizing students to be engaged local and global citizens.
National Catholic Sisters Week
Avila University hosted the United Nations representative for the global CSJ community as part of National Catholic Sisters Week and National Women’s History Month in March 2016. 
Please join in on a planning meeting for National Catholic Sisters Week, March 8-14, 2017 to discuss program ideas and possibilities for collaboration across ACSSJ institutions.  If you are interested in joining the conversation, please RSVP to Martha Malinski at
Estefani Alarcon, Mount St. Mary's University recently participated in ACSSJ's Student Exchange Program. Estefani discusses her experience in a new video.

Call for 2018 Conference Site Proposals

The annual ASACCU Conference is an opportunity for member institutions to showcase their campus, the work of the student affairs division, and to highlight how the Catholic Identity of their campus is expressed.  The RFP submission deadline is October 17, 2016.

U.S. News Lists St. Kate's Among Minnesota's "Best Colleges" in Lastest Rankings

St. Catherine’s overall score in the 2017 rankings rose to 74 from 65 in 2016. There were also rises in the percent of retention rates and first-year students in the top 25 percent of their high school class.

St. Joseph’s College (SJC) was ranked by Washington Monthly as 7th in this year’s list of 386 “Best Bang for the Buck” colleges in the Northeast, making it the highest ranked college in New York.

50 Saint Rose political science students fanned out in two parts of Albany, NY to register voters and gain some insight about the attitudes and barriers surrounding one of the basic tenets of democracy.
