| GET READY FOR SNOW LATER THIS WEEKWe appear to be in for a pretty terrible winter storm. The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather alert for later this week, with the worst impact likely to occur Thursday, February 3rd and possibly Friday, February 4th. Unlike the snowfalls in January, this one is supposed to be that heavy wet snow that is great for making snowballs and snowmen, but also causes heart attacks for shovelers, downs trees and power lines. And we’re supposed to get a lot of it. |

| As always, we will continuously monitor conditions to determine whether it is necessary to close schools. If current predictions hold true, students may be home for a day or two until this storm passes through. Please plan accordingly. School closings will always be shared with you through the district website, our social media channels, robocall, text and this e-newsletter. |

Program cancellations and reschedule dates will be posted on the district website as they are made available. Until then, stay safe and warm out there, everybody. Thanks, Jeff |

MEET THE TWO NEW SAFETY COORDINATORS WHO FOCUS ON RELATIONSHIPS, FIRST |
| “They have a level of expertise in the district, not only in safety but also in caring for kids and showing that love in our district,” Director Reuben Figueroa said. “They know the job and have been here for more than 10 years each, but they also know people. You can teach tactics, protocols, and procedures but you cannot really teach someone how to genuinely love people and they do it naturally.” |
