THANK YOU FOR JOINING US TO CELEBRATE THE NEW HIGH SCHOOL!

I want to thank all who came together to join us in celebrating the opening of the new Lorain High School this past weekend. It takes an enormous amount of work and collaboration to pull off a three-day event such as this, and we are incredibly honored by the volunteers who made it happen, and by all who took part in this piece of our history. It was nothing short of phenomenal.

In particular, I'd like to shine a light on the many students who volunteered. I can think of no better way to showcase our talented young people than by providing them with opportunities to lead - and they did in so many ways this weekend.

Our students led dozens of community tours through our amazing new building, brought life to the ribbon-cutting ceremony in their navy blue "Titan Pride" T-shirts, and were the stars of the parade that took us to George Daniel Field for a highlight-filled winning football game against Garfield Heights. Our students even volunteered with the LCS Endowment Fund spaghetti dinner Saturday evening, and helped to deliver left-overs to the women's shelter, where some of our families live.

This is what "Titan Pride" is all about, and we are grateful to see you bring it to life in such abundant ways in our schools. From all of us to all of you - thank you for showing us what you're made of  - we couldn't be prouder of you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jeff Graham, Superintendent
