Until you started to hear our phones vibrate and ping with emergency updates from Texas that reminded us all — we are the lucky ones who get to hug our children close tonight. And these graduates, with all the hope and promise their young lives hold, are the ones who I know — I am CERTAIN — will be able to build a world that can protect its youth better, because of all we are learning during these challenging times.
Typically, when I write these messages to you I have a very clear vision of what I want to share, or what I need to ask. I can’t do that today. I don’t yet know what we need. But I do know that in the city of Lorain we have the right people and I know we will hold hands and take care of one another.
Please enjoy our celebration of the Class of 2022, below. And learn more about the safety and security of our schools here, here, here, and here.
We will share more about safety and security tomorrow. Today, let’s celebrate our kids.
Thanks,
Jeff
