Before the AGM
Complete the Workshops Survey
Your input will be shared anonymously with the workshop facilitators and the invited speakers, who will try to address your queries during the workshops. This survey should only take 5 minutes of your time. Don't worry, there will still be plenty of opportunities to ask questions at the meeting.
Topics to discuss at the AGM: Send any comments, feedback, suggestions regarding what GlycoNet can offer you, the role of the GTA executive committee or other issues to be discussed during the AGM to Omar El-Halfawy at oelhalfa@alumni.uwo.ca
Reminders:
Shuttle booking at www.banffairporter.com/book  (Use promo code:symposium)
Retain your boarding passes together with all other relevant receipts.
At the AGM
AGM registration will be on the upper floor of the Banff Park Lodge, in the Alpine Meadows room, on Monday, May 16 from 11 am until shortly before 5 pm. Late registrations will be available in the Alpine Meadows room from 7 am until 8:30 am on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Check-in at the front desk at the Banff Park Lodge. Check-in time is 4 pm, but luggage storage will be available for those arriving earlier. A credit card will need to be presented at check-in, and you will be responsible for your own incidental expenses and any damage to the rooms.
Trainee Networking: The trivia night (Monday), Pub night (Tuesday) and Scientist amazing race (Wednesday) are fun-packed events that offer an excellent opportunity for informal networking with your GlycoNet peers.
Trainee AGM (Wednesday morning session): What benefits does being a GlycoNet trainee have? What direction should the Network’s training program take? How can I get more involved in the Network? These and other questions will be discussed at the Trainee AGM.
Industry Presentation Session: Representatives from companies active in the glycomics field will be on hand to deliver brief presentations about their work and products, discuss opportunities for collaboration, and network with GlycoNet researchers. GlycoNet trainees who are interested in pursuing careers in industry are also welcome to attend this session and learn more about potential employers.
Confirmed participants include: Limmatech Biologics, ProZyme, Mirexus
After the AGM
