Going Deeper and Getting Equipped Fridays 2nd Feb and 16th Mar 2018
These days are for those who are already practicing Godly Play, are perhaps setting up their own spaces and gathering resources. They will provide time and space to go deeper in our understanding about Godly Play, as well as to become more equipped with story materials and resources.
The morning will consist of a full Godly Play session with time to explore one specific area in more depth – either ‘wondering’ (2nd Feb) or ‘response’ (16th March).
There will then be an opportunity in the afternoon to make and take away a selection of stories and materials (at a small additional cost).
Venue: The Vine, St Stephens Church, Finley Street, Netherthorpe, Sheffield, S3 7PL
Dates: Friday 2nd February 2018 (Going deeper into ‘wondering’)
Friday 16th March 2018 (Going deeper into ‘response’)
Times: 10.00 am – 3.30 pm (arrivals from 9.30)
Cost: £30.00 (plus additional costs for materials taken away).
Free of charge to all Godly Players in the Sheffield Diocese who have completed the 3 day accredited Godly Play training, (plus additional costs for materials taken away).
Refreshments will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch.

Godly Play with Older People
Nurturing the spirituality of older people - helping them to find meaning, feel valued and loved.
Introduction to Godly Play with Older People
This introduction day is for those with little or no experience of Godly Play and who would like to know more about how it might nurture older people. Training Day for Godly Play with Older People
This training day will explore the spirituality of older people, adapting Godly Play for a variety of care settings and working with elders who have dementia.
The day is for those who have already completed the 3 day accredited core training in Godly Play.

Timings: 10.00 am - 4.00 pm (arrivals from 9.30am)

A day's event on Saturday, 10th March in Sheffield: Training and resourcing in children's, youth, families and schools ministry.

Mutual Blessings: Financial Support for Resources and Training
Generous funding from the Diocese of Sheffield and the Sheffield Church Burgesses means that we can offer Resources and Training grants and support to churches and schools in the Diocese of Sheffield (which is South Yorkshire and the area around Goole)
Grants of £400 for Godly Play resources for churches
(after someone has attended a 3 day core accredited training).
Grants of £150 to attend a 3 day core accredited training for individuals
Grants of £200 for any Sheffield school towards the cost of INSET
Support for churches from a Godly Play trainer

Mutual Blessings is a local expression of the work of Godly Play in the UK and is a local partner of the national charity. The purpose of Mutual Blessings is to offer spiritually-enriching practices using the method and principles of Godly Play to people of all ages or needs, but especially those who may be on the edge of the church’s ministry.
Godly Play Network Groups support practitioners (new and experienced) to develop their practice in community with others. Please get in touch if you would like to help get one started in your area.
