The Academic year is drawing to a close. The approaching annual examinations will mark the end of this academic session 2016-2017.
Class XII is presently taking the Board Practical examination. Class XI has almost completed their final exams, and the results will be declared during the PTM, scheduled on the 14 of February. Class X and IX are taking their Pre-Summative exams. Classes VI to VIII will begin their Term-End exams from March 3, 2017.

Students of VI to VIII are all prepared to show off their skills during the Activity and Club demonstrations on February 11, 2017.
Students of class X and XII will be celebrating their Graduation Day on February 25, 2017.

The parasailing activity is underway, and most students who have registered have a few classes left as part of this exhilarating experience.


Denty’s conducted a Dental Check-Up for the students this week.
Under the Topic of the Week presentations, Class VI D and VI E focused on Food Habits (Traditional over Junk) and Child Rights respectively. They put together simple skits, talks, and songs to convey their messages and successfully engage the assembly.
For the ISA (International School Award) projects, Class VI made bookmarks, Class VII made posters and slogans, and Class VIII made masks of endangered species. The main theme was conservation of the environment.

An American University Fair was also organized for our students this week on February 7, 2017.
Mr. Roshan Miranda from Waste Ventures India Pvt. Ltd. spoke to our students about the importance of waste management and waste segregation. He discussed the statistics of how much waste the city generates, and how it all goes into dump yards that are open lands. He explained how this practice contaminates underground water through seepage, during the rainy season. Mr. Roshan Miranda introduced Toter, a website that helps people with their waste management. Toter helps collect segregated waste at your door step through just a phone call. He invited the students to be champions of the drive and encouraged them to make the school and its surroundings a perfect example of a community that understands waste management.
The FICCI FLO organization selected CHIREC to welcome the distinguished Mr. Anoop Ratnakar Rao, an environmental activist, to teach our students about the global goals on sustainability.
