As always, the quality of the class magazine in terms of creativity and presentation exceeded all expectations.  Teachers put together an entertaining program for Children’s Day. As part of the Children’s Day celebrations, the Interact club of CHIREC-CBSE wing conducted a Sports Meet for three government primary schools adopted by CHIREC. The students from CHIREC cheered on as the participants from the government schools displayed great talent and actively participated in the track and field events. CHIREC Principals Mrs. Iffat Ibrahim and Mr. Omkar Joshi gave away prizes to the winners.

Members from CHIREC’s Interact Club distributed sports equipment to the Government Primary school, Gopinagar, and visited the Government Schools at Masjidbanda and at Anjaiah Nagar to distribute sweets and fruits and play with them.
Our Literary Camp, with Mrs. Vanaja Banagiri as our guest, turned out more pleasing than planned. On day one, we had a book reading session by our very own student authors, Anusha P. from grade X and Varenya Reddy Gade from IB. This was followed by a story writing competition, and other literary competitions in English, Hindi French and Telugu, such as Calligram and tongue twisters in French, poster making, poetry recitation and poetry writing in Hindi, and news reporting and article writing in Telugu. On day two, we had the inter-school poetry slam, for which 13 schools registered. The topics ranged from bullying to teenage rebellion, and simple living to spirituality. The participants all impressed the judges with the power behind their words and performances. The CHIREC CBSE team, comprising Aslesha Deshmuk, Bhavana Bhattiprolu and Dipali Lath of Grade XI won first place, making us all very proud. The Inter-House group poetry recitation competition was also just as exciting, as Satpura House won first place for their delivery of ‘The Lunacy of the English language’.

Students of Grade XI and XII who are studying Biology had the opportunity to visit the Botanical gardens for some hands-on practical study. The students of Grades XI and XII have just completed their 3rd Unit Tests, and the Parent Teacher Meetings were conducted on the 19th of November.
Class XB conducted last week’s assembly, and talked about Science and Serendipity. They listed out all the major inventions that stemmed from science, and sang the song Radioactive as a tribute to the nobel laureate Madam Marie Curie. They also put up a fusion dance, which demonstrated the mechanism of dance as a science of movement. They also used a nukkad natak in Hindi to emphasize the possibilities of science in the hands of the educated.
Teacher  of Class XC delivered an excellent speech on the role of education in National Integrity, during their assembly. Shivraj Singh Bhathal composed and performed a song about integration, which was very well received by the audience. The students also performed a Telugu skit about how education helps promote national integration, and a dance about possible solutions to the problems of illiteracy and unemployment.
