This month saw a milestone for the Bristol Arena as the two planning applications for it were approved by councillors. As development moves forward in the zone, it will inevitably result in changes to access and transport; the most recent example of this is a temporary car park close to Temple Meads being closed. Car Park Closure
A temporary car park close to Temple Meads station has now closed. The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) is preparing the land for development. Information about alternative car parks can be found on our blog.
LinkAge's 'Step Into My Shoes', Engine Shed, until 28 April
Elderly lady in armchairAlmost 5 million consider the television as their main form of company and an estimated 11,000 experience loneliness in Bristol. This exhibition explores society’s increasing issue of isolation and loneliness in older people. The installation highlights LinkAge’s work in local communities and how innovative new ways of working, such as intergenerational activities, can help to tackle this issue.

Bristol Food Connections
Food Connections is a citywide food festival running from 29th April to 7th May. There will be events taking place across the city - including a Best of Bristol Banquet at Yurt Lush in Clocktower Yard. You can see the full program of events online.
