Celebrating Six Years of KINBERCON

By now hopefully you have all marked your calendars and are planning to join us for our sixth annual conference, KINBERCON 2017, to be held at the Omni William Penn Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh April 3-5, 2017. The conference features an outstanding array of over 30 sessions across four tracks - General, IoT, Cloud, and Security that will offer something for everyone. In addition to the full day of track sessions on Tuesday April 4, we will again offer technical trainings with 11 full- and half-day workshops offered at a steal to KINBERCON attendees across a range of topics including IPv6, Preparing Your Successful NSF Grant Proposal, BGP, AR/VR/360 Video, The Future of E-Rate, and more.

We could not be more pleased at how much the KINBER annual conference has evolved over the last six years. KINBERCON has grown tremendously since our very first conference held on the Montgomery County Community College campus in 2012 to now outgrowing even large hotel venues.

Looking forward to having you join the KINBER board of directors, staff, speakers, sponsors and invited guests at KINBERCON 2017 this April for training, networking, professional development and, as always, enhanced collaboration in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Community Spotlight: Centre County Federation of Public Libraries (CCFPL)

The Centre County Federation of Public Libraries (CCFPL) was established in 1990 to improve county-wide library services through coordinated efforts between the Centre County Library & Historical Museum and the Schlow Centre Region Library. All CCFPL library locations have been connected to KINBER's PennREN Network since July 2016 with primary connectivity to the Federation Headquarters at Schlow Library in State College, PA.

CCFPL is deeply committed to providing the best library service to every resident of Centre County and is using its new PennREN connection to help serve that mission. In addition to children's and teen activities, all CCFPL locations host adult programming such as book discussion clubs and crafting groups, allowing the entire Centre County community to join the #LibraryMade revolution.
