Dear All

Woking Site Allocation Consultation - Regulation 19
At the AGM last Friday 7 December, we received some valuable input and confirmation of how important your responses are to this consultation.  They could easily become critical if Woking Borough Council reassess their proposals for the development site allocations and want to reintroduced the Upshot Lane fields to their proposals

If the fields were reintroduced it would be vital that we speak at any future public hearing.  We would want to argue that our fields be kept in Green Belt and free of development and if we have not responded to this consultation we  will not qualify to make our case.

The reasons are explained in further detail on our website at  In addition we indicate in more detail how to respond and what the response options are.  So please take a look and submit your response before the deadline :
5pm on 17 December - that's in 7 days time.

Every response counts so get your partner and friends to respond as well!!

Heritage Conservation Assessment
In addition, the AGM resolved that we should continue with the proposed Heritage Conservation Assessment project that we have discussed at previous AGMs. The meeting also resolved that the committee should commence a fundraising campaign to pay for on-going professional advice.  This advice will be required to help prepare a quality assessment report for Woking Borough Council to approve and implement.  So early in the New Year we'll be looking to start the campaign to raise £12k for the work involved.

Many thanks in anticipation once again everyone
