  1. WILD PYRFORD TV CHANNEL
Two members of the PNF Committee, Tim Matthews & Carol Mitchell, are producing a series of programmes entitled Wild Pyrford all about environmental activities in and around Pyrford. The September edition is now out and is about Natural Ponds & rewilding Golf Courses. The October edition is in production and the preview is available. Why not visit  https://www.wildpyrford.com/ to see what is happening in “Wild Pyrford” ” or go to https://pyrfordforum.org/conservation-noticeboard/.

  1. PNF REDESIGNATION
If you live in the PNF area, your household will have received a letter about the fact the existing PNF Committee is seeking re-designation as the approved organisation for the Pyrford Neighbourhood Plan Area.
A lot of time and effort has been given willingly by the existing and previous members of the PNF Committee and some of its supporters to generate an approved Neighbourhood Plan. Why not support them by making make a favourable comment. The consultation closes at 5pm on 23 November 2020.

  1. MAIN MODIFICATIONS SITE ALLOCATIONS DPD
The PNF Committee decided at its latest meeting not to make any comments on the latest Main Modifications SADPD.  The document does not include the two fields either side of Upshot Lane. If you wish to comment, full details of how and by when can be found at Woking BC website at https://www.woking2027.info/allocations/sadpdexam/mmconsultation or on the RA website at https://the-residents.org/2020/09/consultation-on-proposed-modifications-to-site-allocations-dpd/
The consultation closes at 5pm, Monday 16 November 2020.

  1. HERITAGE CONSERVATION ASSESSMENT FUNDING

Work on the Heritage Assessment for Pyrford has continued despite C-19 and recent focus has been on heritage threats and opportunities within the community.  More of this in our next newsletter.  This work is however costly, and the Forum has been fundraising.  Due to COVID the planned fundraising event in Summer 2020 had to be cancelled. To complete the work, the Forum needs to raise a further £1,500. If you would like to help us and donate please contact the Chair  chair@pyrfordforum.org

  1. PYRFORD CRICKET CLUB NEEDS HELP
The Pyrford cricket clubhouse needs urgent & essential repairs costing around £8,000.  The two main support pillars in the front wall of the clubhouse have snapped and the wall is bowing. More details and how to donate can be found at Just Giving website  https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/pyrfordcc?utm_id=1&utm_term=V9kdWRDDA
Please donate if you can.

  1. VILLAGE PROJECTS & NEIGHBOURHOOD CIL (NCIL)
£28,000 of NCIL has been received so far since the PNF Plan was approved and this has to spent in the PNF Area. Further monies are expected in the future.
The PNF Committee is asking the Pyrford community for ideas for the use of these monies.
I wrote an article on NCIL on page 8 of the latest edition 165 of the Residents Association Newsletter which can be found at https://the-residents.org/2020/09/the-resident-newsletter-issue-165/  This explains the background and the constraints on its possible uses.
If you have an ideas you would like to support, please do let PNF know via info@pyrfordforum.org

  1. SHEER HOUSE WEST BYFLEET CENTRE
A Section 73 planning application (PLAN/2020/0801) has been raised by Retirement Village Group to amend the Outline Planning Application obtained by Altitude in December 2017. Full detail can be found by searching planning applications at Woking Borough Council https://www.woking.gov.uk/
The new owner has set a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/sheerhouseredevelopment and website page where you can subscribe to updates http://sheerhouseredevelopment.co.uk/ A Liaison Group has been set up and details were recently emailed to RA members.

      9. WEST BYFLEET LIBRARY RE-OPENS

West Byfleet is open again from Tuesday 13th October 2020, offering a click and collect only service, allowing customers to return their items, collect Ready Reads and reserved books. However, the public will not be allowed into the building for the time being. The times and further details can be found at https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/libraries/your-library/find-your-nearest/west-byfleet?

That's all for now, so stay safe and well everyone.

Regards,

Andy Grimshaw
PNF Chairman
