Arising from our work on heritage, this feature is a regular monthly video interview with residents about why they enjoy living in our village. Each will be approximately 2 minutes long and can be played from our website homepage at http://www.pyrfordforum.org
. Go take a look and tell us what you think.
Whilst on the subject of Heritage, we now have a process for conducting a heritage assessment and making new conservation proposals to WBC for the whole Forum area. More of that in later issues.
Whilst fitting the videos into the website we've taken the opportunity to revise the layout and make it better for supporting news and information about our campaign and heritage interests. As a result, we have reorganised the menus, created a more comprehensive archive section and made provision for reporting on more issues. Please take a look at http://www.pyrfordforum.org
and tell us what you think at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Upshot Lane Fields
We believe that announcements are now imminent from Woking Borough Council about the final consultation on this planning saga, that started way back in late 2014 with the Green Belt Review. There is an embargo on any advance information but the next Executive and Council meetings are scheduled for the 11th and 18 October respectively. The Forum will be monitoring these meetings closely for announcements.
Once the consultation starts we will be committed to appropriate publicity to protect the Upshot Lane fields, that are now, once again, genuinely, very productive farmland. This will, of course, be expensive, and we would appreciate any help members can give us - financial, help to distribute materials and to lobby as appropriate. So if you are likely to be available we would be delighted to hear from you - again at email@example.com
The Forum AGM will be on 7 December this year and we need someone to audit our very simple annual accounts. In addition, we need someone, probably from our younger members, to help us manage and make better use of our Facebook account . So if you can help, or know someone who can, please get back to us on the Forum email address above. We'll be very grateful.
