Hi Folks – here’s hoping we’ll see you at the AGM on Friday…..!!

PNF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The 2018 AGM is this Friday evening at 8pm in the Church of the Good Shepherd and we hope for a good turn out as this is an important event for the Forum.  This year we will run through the AGM business as rapidly as possible, take a short break for drinks and refreshment and follow up with a discussion session focusing on Woking Borough Council’s (WBC) current Regulation 19 public consultation and the work of the Forum on heritage conservation within the area.  .

This year we are pleased to have Cllr Ashley Bowes on board to tell us more about the background and future process for finalising WBC development site allocation proposals.  Ashley is a very busy Planning Barrister, in ‘real life’ , and holds the Planning Portfolio in WBC.  So his talk should be very interesting and informative – not an opportunity to be missed.

In addition we want to discuss work we’ve done on assessing heritage and conservation in the village and understand your views on these topics.  We will also discuss work done on the traffic situation in the village and of course round off with a raffle draw.

See https://pyrfordforum.org/2018-agm/ for full details of the evening.

THE UPSHOT LANE FIELDS
The final Regulation 19 public consultation on WBC Site Allocations Development Plan Documents terminates on 17th December.  Your response is needed very soon now.

Whilst the good news for Pyrford is that the current Regulation 19 proposals do not include either of the fields beside Upshot Lane it is also true that they could still be introduced, although unlikely, by WBC when they forward responses to Secretary of State, or, in response to subsequent comments on this final consultation stage.
Unfortunately the points you made objecting to the inclusion of our fields in the 2015 Regulation 18 consultation will not be carried forward into this consultation stage.  Therefore they will not be placed before the Secretary of State.  See our previous newsletter at PNF Newsletter November 2018 and our website at https://pyrfordforum.org/wbc-development-proposals/ for further details.

As a result our advice is to respond along the lines that WBC have made the right decision to drop the Upshot Lane fields and that you are pleased that WBC recognise the validity of each of the points you made last time.  We believe these points need to be restated so that they can be recognised when the process comes to a conclusion.  It will also ensure that if necessary we can participate in a Public Hearing.

Come to the AGM for further details and an opportunity to ask questions but whatever you do please submit your response before 17th  December.
