Hello friend!

Help us WALK the talk for rescue pets

Special thanks to Sunshine Coast Council for the grant funding that allows us to hold Walk for Awareness.

4 Paws gives Barbie back her smile

Did you know most dogs and cats that come into the care of 4 Paws need dental work before they can go to new homes? Just imagine the pain and discomfort of living with putrid breath, rotting teeth and sore gums. We are able to help these beautiful rescue pets to eat again without pain because of the generosity of our supporters and the dedication of the staff at Nicklin Way Veterinary Surgery.
Barbie, a delightful 8-year-old Fox Terrier, is enjoying a new lease on life since her recent major dental surgery at Nicklin Way. Another rescue group asked us to help Barbie because they'd heard about the life-changing outcomes the Nicklin Way team had achieved with 4 Paws pets.
Barbie is such a happy girl since her surgery. She's now ready to go to a loving forever home and has lots of love to give. Do you have place for Barbie in your family?
This fun-loving terrier is super friendly and loves human company. Because of her small size, 3kg, she needs a home without small children and with a securely fenced yard.
Barbie loves walks and is waiting patiently for a kind and caring family that will love her and include her in their daily activities. There are not enough words to say how lovely this little girl is.
To begin the process to adopt Barbie you will need to complete an adoption application. This helps us ensure that you and Barbie will be a perfect match. To read more about the
adoption process click here.

Elly: 13 years, female Bichon Frise
This sweet girl came to us from another Rescue that knows we specialise in older, medically-at-risk dogs. Elly had a large bladder stone surgically removed. She must have been in incredible pain. Elly is truly deserving of a better life. Her medical condition means she will become a 4 Paws Permanent Resident and have her medical needs met for the rest of her life.  Elly's monthly sponsorship requirement is $50. Please contact us if you'd like to sponsor her. To learn more about sponsoring a Permanent Resident click here.

Dexter: 2 yrs, male
'Fun' is Dexter's middle name. This energetic boy likes to play, so a family with older children would appreciate his adventurous nature. He is also super intelligent and can sit on command. Dexter needs to be an indoor cat but he'd love an external cat enclosure connected to your house.
Adoption fee: $140
Biggie: male, 6 yrs, Fox Terrier
Do you have a cat? I LOVE cats! I'm not so keen on other dogs though, but maybe a small one would be ok. I also LOVE kids over the age of 10. Are you an active retired person, a part-time worker, or a stay-at-home family? I'd suit your family perfectly. I'm fine when my people go out but I like to have my toys and a warm spot to nap so I don’t get anxious. I need a forever home because I have so much love to give. My foster mum says I'm a very good boy. My favourite past time is protecting and loving my humans and playing with my toys. I'm a smart guy and know basic commands. Did I mention I LOVE walks! Pick me!!!
Adoption fee: $495
Jasper: 10 years, male, Seal Point Birman
This affectionate, lovely boy needs a Permanent Foster Carer. Jasper has a medical condition and needs a loving home where there are no other cats. It's important that Jasper remains an indoors cat.
Boo: 2 yrs, male, Chihuahua
Gorgeous Boo can be a little shy at first, but in no time he'll be wanting to snuggle up with you. He is full of fun and loves to play. A loving home with active retirees would be perfect for this happy, affectionate boy. Sadly, Boo was surrendered to 4 Paws when his family's circumstances changed. Boo weighs about 6kg. He loves walks and traveling in the car, and is good with other small dogs.

Our volunteers and supporters rock!

4 Paws exists to give homeless dogs and cats a second chance at life with a loving family. We are a fully volunteer-run organisation and could not do what we do without the dedication and commitment of our fabulous foster carers, stall and sausage sizzle workers, cattery and Carmichael House helpers, and other wonderful volunteers. Our generous donors and sponsors provide vital funds for vet care for animals that come into our care. And we are forever grateful of the support of Nicklin Way Veterinary Surgery and Sunshine Coast Council, helping us in our very worthwhile work with rescue animals.
