"And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”
At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness, and he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan." Mark 1:11-13

☀️ Don't miss this great opportunity to volunteer at church on what promises to be a gloriously sunny afternoon THIS SUNDAY 21st February at 14h00!

🌿 We will be digging, weeding and pruning, in preparation of re-planting Biblical and colourful plants in the church garden. All ages most welcome for this super socially-distanced, family-friendly activity!
🪴 There will be firewood to take away, and maybe some surplus Yucca plants.
😷 Please bring a facemask, suitable clothes, gloves and footwear, a snack & drink, and, if you have them (please label with your name), secateurs/strong cutters, short or long pruning saw, large garden fork, handfork/trowel for weeding, spade, mattock, and, for the tree-pruners (!), a hard hat and goggles.
A book For Lent - Living His Story
In Living His Story, the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lent Book 2021, Hannah Steele uncovers liberating and practical ways of sharing the gospel story afresh. With warmth and encouragement, She shows us how we can live Jesus’ story in our own lives simply by being the people God made us and allowing people to be drawn to him through our natural gifts. The book is widely available and there is also an e-reader format. If you would like a copy and you have any difficulty obtaining one, (for whatever reason) please get in touch with Charlotte. The Church of England has produced a study guide to go alongside this book which is free to download from the Church of England website.
We will be following the book and the study guide in our Bible study groups, on Tuesday mornings  at 10:30am and Wednesday evenings at 8pm - everyone is very welcome to join.

Meet the HOLY TRINITY OUTREACH Committee and the Charities and Causes they support!
The Holy Trinity Outreach committee, headed by Rachel Ischoffen, meets twice a year to choose the causes and charities to support in the name of our congregation and allocate funds specially set aside in the Church budget each year. Our current outreach giving strategy is to support a few international causes and small local charities specifically recommended to us, which we follow through visits and regular exchanges. We also donate to the Bishop’s appeals (including Diocesan hardship appeals), to causes related to Mission and Outreach, and contribute to the education of two children via the SEL program.
We would love you to know more about the causes we support in your name and we are delighetd to be able introduce them to you in a dedicated slot of your newsletter over the next months. If there are causes (preferably local) you would like to bring to our attention, please feel free to do so! And watch this space!
Jeremy Buckland, Fiona Dabas, Max Genock, Sylvaine Hughes, Rachel Ischoffen, Judy Poggi, Reverend Charlotte Sullivan
Don't forget you can send us an email if you know of someone in need of practical help or an encouraging phone call, and if you are not in a position to help - we can and we will! We have a team of people who can deliver shopping or phone for support. Please check in with elderly and vulnerable church family and neighbours in particular. You can call, text or WhatsApp us on 07 67 07 77 20.
