Wayzgoose 2016 at Bowne Printshops

In the nineteenth-century, letterpress printers transitioned to working by candlelight as the days got shorter with the change of seasons. This occasion, Wayzgoose, is traditionally celebrated among friends with drinks and good cheer. Bowne Printers will be having their annual Wayzgoose celebration on November 17 (6pm - 9pm). Join for printing demonstrations on their new Heidelberg Press, enjoy complimentary drinks, and the unveiling of their new stock for 2017. 

Wayzgoose is a community event and admission is free. Your optional contribution, however, goes directly to support the expenses of the event as well as current and future programming at Bowne. RSVP Required! 

Introducing the Caring Kids Awards!

Honor children and families who give back to their communities

In the spirit of the holidays, NYMetroParents is introducing an important new awards program — the Caring Kids Awards. This program recognizes and celebrates children and families who give back to their community. All parents have to do is go to NYMetroParents.com/caringkids and submit a photo and description of their child's work. Eight children & their families will be selected to receive a $500 prize as a thank you for giving. Please help spread the word of this new awards program by sharing with your coworkers, friends, family, and anyone else!
