While life is full of unexpected surprises, and this year has been a big one for those, none of us are strangers to challenge or adversity. In fact, rising in the face of challenge is one of the key trademarks we develop through sport.  We, at Freestyle BC, have taken advantage of this challenging time by engaging key experts to help improve the many aspects of our sport's ecosystem.  You will see many of these initiatives take stride this fall and winter; such as the refined coach development pathway, updated policy center, our new employment resource page, and our commitment to SafeSport.  Many of these initiatives are in progress; we encourage you to check in frequently and ask questions: - to help us shape the future of our sport.
We still have our sights set on a safe, meaningful, and FUN competition season this winter.  With all that we have learned from the Provincial Health Authority, viaSport and Freestyle Canada, we have good reason to be excited for our season ahead.  Freestyle Canada has committed to having its calendar ready in the coming weeks, with the Freestyle BC official events calendar to follow shortly thereafter.
In order to deliver the best possible training and competition season, WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK:

October is bullying prevention month and in support, we are launching the first-ever X Games Shred Hate day this Thursday, October 22. Shred Hate has been our X Games’ bullying prevention program for four years and with times so tough right now, we’re happy to be able to recognize Shred Hate. You’ve all been so supportive of this program, we wanted to ensure we made you a part of the event!
On Thursday, we’ll have a live digital panel at 2 pm ET / 11 am PT on our X Games YouTube channel featuring X Games stars Gus Kenworthy, Jordyn Barratt and Mykel Larrin hosted by Brandon Graham and Jack Mitrani, talking about their experiences with bullying and how they’ve overcome the challenges they’ve faced.
