Good afternoon families in the MTC community,

I would like to take this time to wish you and your family members a blessed and peaceful Christmas. The children are so excited about what Christmas morning brings from Santa, but I ask you to reinforce what we have also been teaching them; the true meaning of Christmas, and the coming of our Savior.

In the past couple of weeks, we had visits from Santa.  Seeing the joy in the children's eyes, as well as hearing the excitement in their voices, really sparked the Christmas spirit and the joy of the season.

This morning in our prayer service, the children sang "Oh Come All Ye Faithful", "Silent Night", and "Joy To The World" loudly and proudly.  In those moments, that Christmas spirit became even more apparent, as the true meaning shone forth.

Christmas season, while a wondrous time, is often a very difficult time for many as well.  The children were reminded all month to practice acts of kindness, as the smallest of gestures can mean the world to someone.  I hope that feeling surrounds all of you, and you find joy in the little things as well.

I look forward to a wonderful 2019 here at MTC, and I wish all of God's blessings to you in the New Year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
