Inclement Weather - School Closings and Delays


In the event of inclement weather, our School Messenging System will be used to call, text, or email all families to announce any school closings or delays. Please note that we follow Upper Merion School District, except in the case of something only affecting MTC.

School closing or delayed opening will also be available at our website www.mtcschool.org, UMASD website www.umasd.org, KYW1060, 6ABCTV

Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of students who ride public school district busses should determine whether transportation is available by listening for the appropriate public school closing. 
  • If a student is absent because his/her public school district is closed, it is considered an excused absence
  • If a student is delayed because his/her public school district is delayed, it is considered an excused lateness
Additionally, we follow the letter day that is on the calendar.  So if a snow day occurs on a "D" day, we lose that day and follow the letter of the day we return (If we are out on an "A"day, if e retunr the next day we follow a "B" day)
