Letter from the Principal -- Lockdown Drill Today

January 17, 2019

Good afternoon Families of MTC,

Today our students participated in their first Lockdown Drill of the year.  The teachers prepared the children ahead of time for the "hiding game" they played.

This is one of a number of drills that are a mandated part of school safety, and we always want our children to be aware and prepared if God forbid it would ever be needed.

I know this is a delicate issue as we certainly do not want the children to be afraid, and so we take every effort to teach and prepare them in ways that are age appropriate.  I encourage you to follow up with your children in a similar fashion.

We follow the procedures outlined in the "Standard Response Protocol," and I have copied the link here if you would like to learn more about these procedures.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns please let me know.  Your child's safety is always of the utmost priority.

May God continue to bless all of you.

Shaping hands, hearts and minds,

Christine Pagan
