Dear MTC Families,

I am excited to announce that enrollment is open for 2019-2020!

With all the top-notch programs and staff members, MTC continues to be among the best in Montgomery County, as well as only 1 of 3 schools to have the Middle States Accreditation for STEM!  Add to that all of the new programs we are getting ready to introduce, and I am more confident than ever that we have an outstanding school where our students are prepared when they graduate to continue to do great things! We have a strong community of people who look out for and support each other every day, and we are truly blessed with God's graces.

Here at MTC, it costs close to $7000 to educate each child.  We work very hard with scholarship organizations and fundraisers to keep those costs as low as possible.

After careful and thoughtful deliberation amongst school leadership, the Board of Limited Jurisdiction and its associated Finance Committee, tuition rates for grades 1-8 at Mother Teresa Regional Catholic School have been established.  An appropriate balance needs to be maintained between being fiscally responsible and keeping costs reasonable for both current and prospective students.  The majority of school costs are faculty expenses, including health and retirement plan expenses.  As has been typical in most workplaces, these costs continue to increase.

We are pleased to announce that the one child tuition rate has a very small increase of just 2.3% from last year.  However, in an effort to maintain long term financial stability and to more closely align tuition with actual per student costs, there will be slightly larger increases for the two child and three child rates.  As you will see in the below table, there is still a large discount in terms of the tuition rate per child for families with multiple children enrolled.  Specifically, the cost for a second child is only 65% of the first and the third child is less than 50%.

Additionally, all families with students in grades K-8 benefited from the new TuitionCare program sponsored by the Foundation for Catholic Education with a tuition reduction of almost $500 this year.  This program will be continuing next year, with all families grades K-8 receiving at least $467 off their tuition, and if more families sign up (which essentially just involves redirecting some of your Pennsylvania state income taxes that you already pay to the Foundation), our tuition reduction can go as high as $1,000 next year We will be encouraging all families who have not yet participated to do so, both during this year’s enrollment as well as back-to-school next year.  The numbers below do not reflect any reduction provided from TuitionCare.

Remember, the Financial Aid application is open, and we work very hard to secure as much aid as possible for our families.  We also have scholarship opportunities which we will send out as they become available.

To enroll: Forms will be sent home with your child this week. We ask each child to return the forms to school by April 15, 2019 to ensure a place here.

As always, I encourage you to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
