This week: Celebrating your successes

Hello and welcome to the first Adventures in Guided Journaling newsletter!

My goal is to send you a quick note every Thursday that inspires you to take some time for yourself and write in your journal. To help you do just that, I've stocked my website with a variety of free printable journaling resources. There are printable guided journal pages, a selection of printable journal activities -- including The Good Stuff! Mini-Journal and a Day in the Life journal page -- and even a set for kids. I welcome you to stop by anytime and download them for yourself.

I hope this newsletter will grow and evolve over time as journaling continues to evolve and as you let me know about the subjects you'd like to see discussed here. I look forward to a wonderful adventure!

To start things off, let's journal!
For each of the next ten weeks, I'll introduce one new page from my printable series, Why Journal? Ten good reasons to give journaling a try.

The first good reason to journal is to celebrate your successes -- and build on them.

I fiercely believe that journaling is a tool for positive action. It is an invaluable source of insight that makes us more effective. Take one of your recent accomplishments, for example. How did you make it happen? What did you learn along the way? When you think about the specific things you did to make your accomplishment possible, when you recognize the steps you took by writing them down, you begin to build an inventory of resources and techniques you can draw upon to make your next project a success.

Consider your strengths, too. What skills and qualities do you bring to your projects, your work, your relationships? When you write down your strengths, as this week's printable prompts you to do, you see them -- really see them -- perhaps for the first time. It's here, in your journal, that you can discover the best in yourself so that you can bring all that you are to all that you do.

Best wishes and happy journaling,

P.S. Next week's good reason for journaling is all about facing challenges head on. See you then!
