Hello and welcome to newsletter #2!

Last week, you celebrated your strengths and successes. This week, why not continue to build momentum by using your journal as a tool to face your challenges head on -- and then figure out how to overcome them.
Today's journal page asks you to think about one goal or project that is important to you, but not progressing as you'd hoped or expected. How will you address this challenge? How will you move forward?

One way to begin is to identify your challenge by writing it down in a safe, confidential place like your journal. Transforming your thoughts or problems into words on a page gives them form and allows you to consider them from different angles and different points of view. Here, in your journal, you can view your challenge at arm's length, as if it belongs to a dear friend and your job is to give her or him your advice about how to proceed. You might also find that when you see the words on the page, the problem doesn't seem quite so impossible and you can already begin to see possibilities for a solution.

When that happens, write down those possible solutions, even the really far-fetched ones. There is no judgment here. Then you can whittle down your options to the ones you want to pursue and choose one or two small, confidence-building steps that you can take right now to move forward.

There's just one more thing. You don't have to do this alone. Take a moment to recognize the people and resources that are there for you when you need them. Who will you call if you need a pep talk? Where will you look for more information on the issue you're dealing with? Who can you call for advice? Build these contingencies into your plan for forward-moving action so you can go out there and face your challenges! I know you can do it!
