Hello fellow journalers!
Over the past several weeks, you've considered the importance of setting specific and difficult goals and you've committed to goals that you are confident you can achieve. Now is the time to get moving, don't you think? After all, journals are tools for action.
This is the part where you start to make your difficult goals as easy as possible to achieve. One way to do that is by breaking them down into bite-sized, entirely manageable steps. Then, instead of being overwhelmed by the difficulty of your difficult goals, you can focus on each tiny step, one at a time, building confidence and momentum as you go.

Start with your goal. What exactly do you want to achieve and by when?
Next, move to the left column of this week's page and write down the big steps you'll need to take to make it happen and the dates by which they must be completed in order to achieve your goal on schedule.
Review each of those steps and ask yourself whether they can be completed with one simple act. If so, those steps need no further work. However, if they are complicated or encompass a sequence of tasks, move to the middle column and divide those big steps into two or three smaller ones.
Now, look at those smaller steps. Can any of those be completed easily? Could you get up from your page and do one of them right now? If yes, hurrah! That step is ready to go.
But what about the tasks in the middle column that can't be completed easily and simply? Can you break them down further? I bet you can. You can do that in the right column.
It's a tall order, I know, to spell out every last step, so if you're not sure about some of the specifics, be sure to include time and space for figuring those out, too. Create a step that involves consulting resources or contacting an adviser.
The key is to end up with a list of simple, straightforward tasks that you can complete right now, one at a time, moving closer to your goal with each step. If, at any point, you're feeling overwhelmed by the scope of your goal as a whole, go to your list and focus on the next small step and just that step. Do it well, then move onto the next one.
If you're ready to take action, here's this week's page:
