December is here and the end of the year is near! I am excited about making plans for the new year. I haven't made up my mind about what to do for the winter holidays, though. I am thinking about going to Florida, but it is sooooooooooo far.
Thank-you for coming to class in the cold and for taking the time to read this. If you like it, please send it to your friends.
The O4 course has been changed from a 初級 course to a 初級2 course.
This course level is a little higher than the 初級level course, but it goes through the material twice as fast. A new unit is covered each week. If you are 初級level, but want a challenge, then please try this course.
*Students are not allowed to transfer between courses because they will be at different chapters in the book (Starfish and Flamingo members may transfer).
The O2 course has been changed from a 入門 course to a 入門2 course.
This course starts at the beginning of the Basic Grammar book and goes through each very very slowly. The entire class is spent practicing grammar and doing exercises to prepare for conversation. This is an excellent course to start if you think the 入門 course is too easy, but the 初級course is too hard.
*Students are not allowed to transfer between courses because they will use different books. (Starfish and Flamingo members may transfer).
I have re-started using Instagram. Instagram is an online photo app which I use to post photos. There, you can see photos of the things I write on the whiteboards everyday,、 photos of the students and of course, photos of your teachers! You can go to Instagram.com if you are using a pc, or download the free app to your smartphone. Search for miamieikaiwa and you will find me. It may be necessary to create a free account without using any personal information.
I enjoy hearing that many of my students enjoy reading my blog. I would like to include some Japanese translations in my blog 2 or 3 times a week, but I'm afraid that my Japanese isn't good enough. I am looking for someone to help translate my blog, or at least write the difficult parts and words in Japanese so that everyone can understand it. It is fun and you can learn English while you translate! Please contact me if you are interested.
Next year I will start looking for new teachers to teach at Miami. I plan to teach only 2 or 3 days a week. Of course, I will do my best to find super teachers to teach at Miami. If you know of anyone interested, please tell them to check my hp and refer to the "Help Wanted" link.
