NDSS and Voya Cares® Grant Opportunity

National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) and Voya Cares® are collaborating to provide financial support to entrepreneurs with Down syndrome to raise awareness of the need for businesses of all sizes to embrace disability inclusive employment. Learn more here and submit your application below!

NIH-Funded Down Syndrome Research

NDSS and LuMind IDSC submitted a comprehensive plan to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for advancing medical research that will dramatically improve the health and well-being of individuals with Down syndrome by the end of the decade. The submission outlines five major areas for understanding the biology of Down syndrome, which include the pathophysiology of Down syndrome; screening, diagnosis and functional measures; treatment and management; aging; and research infrastructure.

The Senate is currently in negotiations for the next COVID-19 relief package. Contact your Senators and Representatives and request they include Medicaid Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) funding, financial relief for families and funding for compensatory services.
