Are you a knitter? Are you stuck on a project or just want to learn more? Join us for APL's monthly knitting program, Knit Together! Bring your current knitting projects and use the time to work on knitting dilemmas, share techniques, and exchange materials. Beginners are welcome! Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is appreciated, but not required.

Little Bookworm is a traditional library preschool storytime with a Hootenanny-style song sing. We will meet in The Green Grotto for a heuristic playtime for the first half hour, then we will enjoy stories and songs together. New friendships will bloom, marvelous discoveries will be made, and, best of all, it happens in that place of dazzling magnificence: Your Library!
Thursdays at 10:30 doesn’t fit your family’s schedule? Have we got some great news! Little Bookworm comes in pop-up form, too! You never know when there will be a storytime at the library because they pop-up all the time!



Homeschool Connection: Women's History: Women Writers

Where: Anderson Public Library at Cardinal Room

Join us for a booktasting experience where we'll sample a buffet of your favorite books written by women. This experience will include a storytime and book talk, so bring your appetite for reading!

This year's prom-goers are invited to "shop" for a dress for their special occasion. Choose from over 250 dresses; take pictures with friends and photo booth props; and browse donated jewelry, shoes, and accessories.

Special thanks to Bestway Cleaners, Community Hospital, Detour Salon & Style, and the Friends of the Library for their help with this event.



The New Tax Law and You

Where: Anderson Public Library at Cardinal Room

Are you wondering how the new the tax law will affect you? H&R Block representative Dan Royer will explain how changes made by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 will affect almost all taxpayers during this informative session.  Registration is appreciated, but not required.

Tween Time

When: Monday, March 05, 2018 5:00 PM
Where: Anderson Public Library at Blue Room (Children's Dept.)

No parents or siblings* allowed! Tween Time is for tweens only. This program is focused around activities that tweens enjoy and is based largely on their input. Join us to meet some new friends, have some fun, and share your opinion with the library.

*Siblings are allowed if they fall within the grades 3-6.



Seed Propagation

When: Monday, March 05, 2018 6:00 PM
Where: Anderson Public Library at Cardinal Room

It’s gardening time! Learn more about starting seeds in small containers outdoors as well as under lights indoors with local Master Gardeners Milt Otto and Terry Chandler. They will bring the gizmos, gadgets, tools, and supplies they like to use for this important step in growing plants.

Teen Game Night

When: Wednesday, March 07, 2018 5:30 PM
Where: Anderson Public Library at Cardinal Room

Drop in for an evening of video and tabletop gaming. We'll have party games like Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, and Rocket League for the Wii and PS4, as well as classics like Apples to Apples, Jenga, and Uno. Teen programs are for those in grades 6-12 only, please.

Cardio Dance Workout

When: Saturday, March 10, 2018 10:00 AM
Where: Anderson Public Library at Cardinal Room

Are you ready to sweat it out with The Fitness Marshall?

Join us for a 45-minute dance workout where we follow along with a high-energy, super fun playlist from YouTube star The Fitness Marshall. Bring your towel and water bottle! There is no charge to attend.

Participants will be required to sign a waiver of liability before the workout begins. Ages 16+ only, please.
