Hi <<First Name>>
Happy Knit in Public Day! Many of the projects in this newsletter are small and portable enough to show off your knitting skills in public. In fact, I've been knitting the shawl on the right in restaurants, hotels, and conferences. And it has a story...

Have you ever had yarn you couldn't seem to work with? I have a skein of 5-color yarn that I was about ready to give up on. I tried it on 3 patterns (including 2 designed for that yarn) and hated the results. But instead of getting rid of it, I decided to research shawl patterns that looked good with color-change yarn. And I'm sharing that research with you in one of my blog posts below! Good news - I think I found a pattern that works with the yarn (see WIP at right). It's the Close to You Shawl which is a pattern link in the shawl post below. So the research paid off!

Have a wonderful week!

Dog Knitting Patterns

When I was writing this newsletter, I was reading a science fiction book by a friend of mine that featured intelligent police dogs (What's Bred in the Bone). So it seemed a perfect time to update my puppy pattern post that features cute toys, hats, and other doggy designs.
