Connecting to our neighbors, God, and the land, using sustainable agriculture to meet local hunger needs

What's Happening

Hi Garden Friends,
It is spring and much is  happening.

As you can see in the pictures below we have put in a new water feed to the garden.  Previously the garden was fed by a garden hose!  There are plans to pave parking areas near the garden soon and that made us think it is time to invest in a permanent water solution.  It also provides us a better flow for irrigation.  This is much better.
Our new buried pipe provides higher flow, more permanent water to the garden

How about some music in the garden?  We are excited to share that the Cross Country Boys will be playing their brand of folk gospel out in the garden Saturday, May 7,  from 10:00-noon.  This weekend, with Wake Forest also holding their "Meet in the Street" festival, is a great time to bring your friends downtown,  come to the garden, enjoy the music and see the plants coming up.

Finally, be on the lookout for a new street front Garden sign.  We have been working with the town and hope to have that up very soon.  This garden is a hidden gem in downtown and we want to help people discover and enjoy it.
