Connecting to our neighbors, God, and the land, using sustainable agriculture to meet local hunger needs

This Saturday

We will be back in the garden this Saturday after a couple of days of intense heat. We will continue harvest of several crops. Additionally we will begin the transition over to some fall crops. Seed for collard, cabbage and broccoli have been sown and we hope to have transplants soon for planting. Please join us for a time of work but most importantly, a time of being together in the garden.

Learn about Tomato Health

How are your tomatoes doing?  With this being mid summer we wanted to share an educational opportunity to learn about tomato diseases.  This one comes from the Wake County Community Garden group.

The Horticulture Agent in Durham County, Ashley Troth, is excellent with practical id and management of the tomato diseases that we all face, and will overview the major ones.   Here's some good NCSU Plant Pathology information on tomato diseases  https://plantpathology.ces.ncsu.edu/pp-vegetables/pp-vegetables-tomatoes/

Join on Wednesday, August 4, from 6:30-7:30 to learn and share our experiences with tomatoes!
