Our new What you need to know about your child’s psoriasis booklet has been launched for World Psoriasis Day 2016 and has been prepared by people with psoriasis, dermatology nurses and consultant dermatologists to help you understand your child’s condition.  A big thank you to Pearl Tier for her introduction and recommendation!

ISF Helpline @ Ploughing Championships 2016

We brought the largest team yet to our stand at the National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore this year.  We met over 800 people, offering information and support about a range of skin conditions.  Of the more than 1,500 exhibitor stands in Tullamore, we were thrilled to be profiled as one of only nine ‘Top picks’ by the Irish Farmers Journal.

To mark World Psoriasis Day this year, the SaySomething campaign turns to the stigma that can surround the condition, educating the public to help dispel myths and empowering people with psoriasis to handle everyday situations.

New research published online this month in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology indicates that the presence of certain harmless bacteria on the skin at 2 months of age is associated with a lower risk of atopic dermatitis at 1 year.
