Worship Service
10:30am

On this 3rd Sunday in Advent, worship will be big, beautiful, and full of joy! Together, we'll reflect on Paul's letter to the Philippians 4:4-7. In it, Paul has every excuse to vent and complain, but instead he writes, "Rejoice in the Lord always." In the midst of the hustle and bustle of this season, we'll reflect on how we choose joy, each and every day. Pastor Dana preaching. Childcare available.

Music: JOY Sunday has finally arrived!  Come early, at 10:15, to hear a lengthened prelude played by brass quartet filled with some of Boston's finest musicians! The Youth Choir open worship with a Swahili and English anthem and will join the brass and Sanctuary Choir in the traditional carol, Once in Royal David's City. This service is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit!

Honoring Lucy Foster: Students to erect headstone for forgotten Andover former slave

"Students at The Academy at Penguin Hall are learning about slavery in New England through the eyes of a long forgotten Andover woman and former slave, and have taken it upon themselves to erect a headstone in her memory." This is an amazing story and Char Lyons, South Church historian, played a big role in it. Click to read the full story!
Dreaming of a "Green Christmas!" from the Green Team

Wrapping gifts? Use recycled paper. Don't use foil paper or use what you have and don't purchase more! Avoid glitter. It is toxic to the environment. Buy or make reusable fabric bags. They can be great gifts and make "wrapping" easy! Use the fronts of old Christmas cards for gift tags. Join your children or grandchildren in decorating recyclable paper with stamps, sponge painting etc. When you go shopping, don't forget your own bags!
Would music make your Advent and Christmas season more merry?

Join the choirs in singing this season! The Sanctuary Choir has beautiful anthems planned for the 16th as well as the 11pm Christmas Eve service. A small group is forming to sing at the 3pm Christmas Eve service. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings. Email Cathy for more information.

High school students will be singing on Pageant Sunday on 12/23. If your high schooler or high school graduate would like to participate, reach out to Cathy or Jenn. All are welcome.
