Worship Service
10:30am (don't forget to turn your clock back!)

This Sunday, we'll celebrate the joy we find in humility. We don't need to be it all and do it all. Isn't that a relief? This is why humility is essential to a life of joy - it reminds us of our place in the great arc of the universe - of all that was, all that is, and all that will be. On this All Saints Day, we'll remember those who have died this year and we'll celebrate our newest members who join in covenant with us. Pastor Dana preaching. See you in church! Childcare available.
Carol Choir Debut!

Don't miss the debut of our Carol Choir on Sunday! They will be opening our worship service.
Solidarity Shabbat
Friday, November 2nd at 6:00pm at Temple Emanuel

From Rabbi Goldstein: Synagogues across the Valley and throughout the country will be observing “Solidarity Shabbat.”  It will be an opportunity for my congregation as well as members of the community to gather in unity and prayer to express our support for the Pittsburgh community, as well as our faith in the virtue and goodness of people of all faiths who reject bigotry, racism, anti-Semitism and intolerance in whatever form or shape it comes.
Jazz Disciples at First Fridays

The Town of Andover kicks off First Fridays, a community celebration of arts and culture with a performance by South Church's Jazz Disciples. Open to the public. No charge. Come downtown and shop or dine before or after the event.

Annual Musical Showcase
Sunday, November 11th at 2:30pm in the Sanctuary

The church's extensive musical talent pool will be on display, with featured performers of many ages and musical persuasions.  A reception will follow in Fellowship Hall. Please contact Ron Dann at 978-470-2797 or ronaldedann@gmail.com if you have any questions or if you want to become a last-minute addition to the program. We love to expose hidden talents!
In Pittsburgh, 11 adults were gunned down by a white nationalist while they gathered to pray and bless a baby in a Jewish synagogue. One of the victims of this deadly shooting was a Holocaust survivor. Over 70 years after the fall of Nazi Germany, we are still fighting the atrocity of anti-semitism in our world.

When Jesus (who was Jewish) was asked what the greatest commandment is, he responded, “Love God and love your neighbor as yourself.” We show our love for God through how we treat our neighbor. And we don’t get to decide to love only our neighbors who believe, vote, look, think, or worship in the same way that we do. We cannot self select who our neighbor is. There’s a spark of the divine in each of us.

In these days of divisiveness and vitriol, we invite you to come to South Church in Andover for an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 18th at 5 p.m. Over 15 clergy from Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, and Christian traditions will stand side by side to offer prayers of peace, hope, and love. When we join our voices in song and prayer, we banish the darkness and let the light of God’s love shine through. Come and join us in a spirit of unity and hope on Nov. 18th.

Rev. Dana Allen Walsh & Rev. Alex Shea Will, South Church in Andover
