Issue No. 2
On Tuesday night, the Board of World Service voted to give $2000 to the Anti-Defamation League in support of our Jewish brothers and sisters after the November and December spike in anti-Semitic attacks in New York.
Sunday Worship
10:00am

This Sunday is our annual Congregational Care Sunday in which we remember the ties that bind us together and be prayerful about how we might be called to serve one another. We'll look at Jesus' baptism as a model of vulnerability and leadership. Pastor Alex preaching. Childcare available.

South Church Ringers will offer special music, and the Sanctuary Choir will sing Light of the World, an anthem by Karen Marrolli. This anthem was donated by Nancy Miller in honor of her long friendship with Anne Clough. Would you like to donate an anthem to our music library in honor? Speak with Cathy Meyer.
Faith Forum
8:45am in the church library

We will continue last week's animated discussion about recycling and actions we can take.  With reference to "Paper" pg 167 and "Water" pg 170 from Drawdown edited by Paul Hawken.  Led by Tim Smith and Bill Schroeder. Come and be warmed by this community of faithful seekers. Child care available.

Newcomer Gatherings
Tues., Jan. 14th & 21st at 7:00pm in the SC Library

South Church may be over 300 years old, but our thinking isn’t. We believe that loving God with all your heart doesn’t mean you can’t use all of your head, too. If you agree, we’d love to see more of you. Questions? Contact Alex.

Women's Retreat Canceled

Due to scheduling issues, the women's retreat this year has been canceled. We do have one planned for January 2021 and hope to do a one day retreat this Spring. Stay tuned!
Are You Looking for Your Offering Envelopes?

If you have used offering envelopes in the past, you can find your 2020 box of envelopes in the Narthex, on the table in between the Sanctuary doors. Please do not use any of the 2019 envelopes. If you haven't used offering envelopes before, but would like to, email Joanne to get your own box of envelopes.
A new year, and let’s consider new habits!

It is easy to become discouraged rather than step up. Green Bee wants to look for ways to reduce carbon and increase our satisfaction in doing it. Stay tuned! In the meantime, pay attention to one of the biggest impact measures that involves no pain or sacrifice. Community choice aggregation (CCA) is the single most important action a community can take to reduce its carbon footprint!
