"What does God require of you? To do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God." These words from the book of Micah feel so familiar that we forget their impact. But this proclamation was a great moment in the history of religious ideas, a theological sea change, a defining moment for God’s people, Israel, and for the followers of Jesus. God doesn't want rams, lambs, oil, or your stuff, God wants you. God wants faith to be a way of life, inviting us to transform the world into a place of justice and kindness and humility.
The Carol Choir will open worship with an introit called Get Down and the Sanctuary Choir will sing two anthems, Come Dwell in Solomon's Walls and the old standard Offertory. Pastor Dana preaching. Childcare available.
