Issue No. 46
Interfaith Worship Service
This Sunday at 5:00pm

Over 15 clergy from Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, and Christian traditions will stand side by side to offer prayers of peace, hope, and love. When we join our voices in song and prayer, we banish the darkness and let the light of God’s love shine through. Come and join us in a spirit of unity and hope.

Worship Service
10:30am

Jesus boldly tells his followers, "Do not worry about your life" (Matthew 6:25-33). But the truth is, we all worry. We fret, agonize, overthink, and stew about the things we can control and the things we cannot. If worry is part of this human experience, then we need a good dose of gratitude to know a life of joy. This Sunday is our Thanksgiving service in which we'll focus on the power of gratitude to balance the worry and fear we all struggle with. Pastor Dana preaching. See you in church! Childcare available.
Faith Forum
9:15am in the Library

Join us as we continue to explore The Book of Joy presenting the thoughts of the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu (the same book Dana and Alex are following in the Sunday sermons).  This week we are continuing to move through “The Pillars of Joy” and will discuss the sections on Acceptance, Gratitude, and Compassion. Come and join us, just to listen or share your thoughts.

Looking for Cookie Bakers!
By Friday, December 7th

The Board of Women's Ministries' cookie fundraiser is on Sunday, December 9th during the Advent Brunch. Would you consider baking festive cookies for our fundraiser? Funds raised go towards a donation to a charity that aids women and provides Women's Retreat scholarships for women of our church. We ask you to drop off 2-3 dozen cookies (or more) in the kitchen in a closed container, marked "BOWM", by Friday, December 7th. Due to moisture issues, we ask for cookies rather than cupcakes or brownies. Baking in advance and freezing cookie works if early December is too busy. Also - store bought cookies OR bags of festively wrapped chocolate kisses are appreciated! Email Diane Morris if interested. Thank you!
Are you looking for a place to celebrate Thanksgiving?
