Breakfast Series Event: Workplace Safety

Help Your Workpalce Become Injury Free - September 15, 2016

Thursday, September 15, 2016
7:15am Breakfast, 8am Meeting Start
BC Hydro Building – 6911 Southpoint Drive, Burnaby

The Hard Truth: In food processing, the Injury Rate and Serious Injury Rate are both well above provincial averages, with an average duration of injury time off of 35 days. This amounts to more than $18M in claims costs and over 50,000 work days lost to injury each year. These numbers are too high. As business leaders, you protect your business and its people by investing in safety. Your business will earn a return on that investment. When you reduce injuries, you reduce claims costs, you limit staff turnover, you pay lower WorkSafeBC premiums, AND you reap increased profits and productivity. Join us to learn how.

Topics Include:
  • How to build a Relationship with WorkSafe
  • Employer Safety Planning Tool Kit
  • Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC
  • Bridging Work safety and Food Safety
