Canada Wins Silver at the World Sledge Hockey Challenge!

The 2016 World Sledge Hockey Challenge took place at the Bell Aliant Centre in Charlottetown from December 4th-10th. Teams from Canada, US, Norway and South Korea competed in the week-long tournament.

Schools were given the opportunity to take their students to the daytime games. Over the course of the tournament more than 2,800 school kids took in the action. On their day off, team Canada visited Westwood Primary in Cornwall to present to all students and sign autographs.

The US defeated Canada 5-2 in the gold medal game, while Norway defeated South Korea in the bronze medal game.

Canada has never finished below third in the 10-year history of the event, winning five gold medals, four silver, and one bronze.
