29th Annual Christmas Shopping Spree
Fundraiser is Now Underway!

The fundraising staff is back to work with the 29th Annual ParaSport and Recreation PEI Christmas Shopping Spree! This major fundraiser raises much needed dollars to support sport and recreation programs for people with a physical disability on PEI.

First prize is a $3,000 shopping spree anywhere on PEI. Second prize is $1,000 cash and the third prize is a Christmas basket valued at $500, including a gift card to purchase everything needed for Christmas dinner. Last year’s winner of the $3,000 shopping spree was Colleen Arsenault of Charlottetown, $1,000 cash went to Daniel R Ross Inc. of Belfast River and Madeline Roberts of Middleton won the Christmas Basket.

Tickets can be purchased for $20.00 each or 3 for $50.00. Tickets are pre-sold and can be mailed or delivered to your home or workplace. To purchase a ticket contact the ParaSport and Recreation PEI Fundraising Office at 629-2484. The winning ticket will be drawn on Friday December 11th!

We would like to remind you that this is not a telemarketing company, and that all the proceeds of this fundraiser goes to ParaSport and Recreation PEI and its programs.

ParaSport and Recreation PEI and Special Olympics PEI Will Host a Sport Festival to Celebrate RBC Sports Day in Canada
ParaSport and Recreation is partnering with Special Olympics PEI to host the Sport Festival for People with a Disability for RBC Sports Day in Canada.

The Festival will be held at Montague Intermediate School Gymnasium on Saturday, November 21st from 1:00-4:00 pm and will feature a variety of sports for people with a disability such as goalball, wheelchair basketball and floor hockey.The goal of this festival is to raise awareness of sport and recreation opportunities available for people with a disability on PEI.

The event is FREE and open to all ages.We encourage friends and family to attend. For more information contact the ParaSport and Recreration PEI office at or by calling (902)368-4540.
The first ever Big Dog Covenience Night Dash took place on Friday August 14th. The event attracted over 130 participants and helped raise over $6,500 for ParaSport and Recreation PEI programs.
