Newsletter - June 2016

We’ve certainly seen the value of changing how we work, forging partnerships and becoming more involved with our local business community. We’ve been founding members of the Business Hub, which meets quarterly, and are Trustees of the Charity Thame Business and one of the organisers of Open Doors Thame event.

We hope you enjoy reading our latest newsletter, embracing the idea that “Old Ways won’t Open New Doors”.

Building on the success of last year, Open Doors 2016 takes place on 9th July 2016.

We got involved because of working with local companies, we frequently hear how difficult it is to attract young and local people to apply for jobs, often because the local community just don't realise the variety of exciting businesses just on their doorstep.

Open Doors is a business event in Thame Town Centre where members of the public learn about companies they never knew existed. Employers meet with previous and retired employees, students become aware of future employment options, and the businesses themselves find new contacts and networking opportunities. The public are encouraged to ask questions and get up close and personal to products and services that, in many cases, they had never guessed resided in the town. It is truly a celebration of Thame’s economic diversity beyond the retail and tourism sectors that normally get the spotlight. If you would like some more information about this fantastic event please go to the Open Doors Website.

Embracing Change in the workplace

Are you taking a strategic approach to Talent Management?
