2 National Titles for Kaia Schmid!

New England Devo p/b Cadence Wealth Management racer Kaia Schmid had an amazing run of success at the recent USA Cycling Junior National Championships in Hagerstown Maryland. She started off by taking a bronze medal in the Junior Women 15-16 individual time trial and then took the win in both the Criterium and Road Race just a few days later.

Quite an amazing cap to a spring that also saw her set a new National Record for the Junior Women 15-16 flying 200 meter time trial on the track.

Congratulations Kaia!!

Cycle-Smart New England CritWeek July 7-14

The highlight of the summer criterium season Cycle-Smart New England CritWeek returns for another year July 7th through the 14th. This years edition starts off July 7th with the second oldest bicycle race in the United States the Longsjo Classic. Racing will be streamed live on local television as well as streamed to the web at FATV.org.

Following Fitchburg CritWeek moves up to Exeter New Hampshire for the 36th running of the Exeter Classic on Tuesday night July 9th. New for this year the Exeter Classic will be broadcast live on local television and streamed to the web on ExeterTV98.

Wrapping up the 2019 edition of New England CritWeek is the Greenfield Criterium on Sunday July 14th. Greenfield features some of the most coveted prizes in New England- fresh baked pie. Come for the pie, food trucks and the dulcet tones of race announcer Ryan Kelly- stay for some amazing racing . Palmer CGP June 28th!

Atwood Racing Services is back with more fun closed course circuit racing this Sunday June 28th. The venue this time is the Palmer MotorSports Park- just an hour drive from Hartford CT and an an hour and a half from Boston MA. The Whisky Hill Raceway in Palmer features a 2.3 mile circuit with 14 corners per lap- guaranteeing great smiles per mile at this modern auto speedway.

There are categories for Junior Senior and Master competitors- both men and women. The Elite Men and Elite Women events feature equal duration and equal prize lists. Racing starts at 9:15 am Saturday. You can sign up at the Official Registration Partner of NEBRA BikeReg by going to:

New England Juniors head to Tour of Ireland

3 New England junior racers from the AP Junior Development squad will toe the start line at the 2019 Junior Tour of Ireland on July 9th. Jaymz Lipinski returns to the race for the second year and will be joined by Chris Golden and Henry Lord as part of the New England Talent ID Camp team. The squad is rounded out with NYSBRA racer Tommy Servertas and BBA's Nick Harraway. The Junior Tour of Ireland is a 6 stage race in County Claire Ireland.

Jaymz Chris and Henry were selected through their participation in USA Cycling's New England Junior Talent ID Camp held in Northfield MA. A cyclocross Talent ID Camp will be held this August 14-18 also in Northfield MA. More information on that camp can be found here: https://legacy.usacycling.org/events/getflyer.php?permit=2019-87
