All GNJ Invited to Worship at IGNITE 

Every church in GNJ is invited to be a part of the IGNITE experience and join the conference on Oct. 1 for Sunday morning worship at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Cultural Competence at Annual Conference 

GNJ's commitment to cultural competence will be highlighted at Annual Conference with legislation on a 10 year plan and guest speaker Erin M. Hawkins, the General Secretary of the General Commission on Religion and Race as a teaching speaker. Click here to learn more about Ms. Hawkins. 

Display Table Registration Open 

Registration is now open for display table space. Represent your ministry and outreach to the GNJ community. Spaces will be granted in the order that they are received, however, UMC organizations take priority. Please register by April 15 to ensure your space. Click here for more info and registration. 

Special Gatherings for Groups and Committees 

If your group or committee would like to schedule a special gathering at the Wildwoods Convention Center, please click here to complete the form. The deadline to reserve a meeting space is April 28. 

Extension Ministry Dinner 

All clergy in extension ministry are invited to enjoy fellowship and a meal at the Extension Ministry Dinner at Annual Conference: Monday, May 22 at 5:45 p.m. The cost is $28.00 per person. You can register for the dinner when you register for the conference.

Eric Drew Releases Single 

Director of Worship, Eric Drew, has released a single off of his 'Center of it All' worship album. 50% of all proceeds from the album will go directly to the Mission Fund, with the other 50% going toward creative worship projects in GNJ. Churches and worship leaders can purchase the tracks and download the sheet music for free! Support great music and the Mission Fund with one shot! Click here to download the single and find out more about the 'Center of it All' project. The album is scheduled to be released on May 8. 

2017 Imagine No Malaria Marathon 

On Saturday, April 29 from 4:00 - 10:00 p.m. the 2017 Imagine No Malaria Marathon will take place at Calvary UMC in Dumont. Open to Jr. & Sr. High youth from all houses of worship, scouts and other organizations. For registration materials or more info send an email or call 201-208-0743. The deadline to register is April 15.

Through Mosaic Ministries, a co-hort program that appoints young seminary students to lead willing churches, Rev. Zach Wooten of First UMC of Mt. Holly got ten years of experience within two years and now feels ready to tackle the coming changes in the future of the church. GNJ Leadership Survey 

GNJ is committed to working with every pastor and church that is willing and ready to grow and develop. Last fall, a clergy evaluation was conducted in order to assess conference staff and leadership. The following survey will be sent our twice a year so GNJ can mark progress and assess challenges. Camping, Youth and Campus Ministry Update 

Ministry Architects, a consulting firm retained to help set a strategic direction for the next generation of leaders in GNJ, is preparing an executive summary of a strategic plan set for review at Annual Conference. To get an update on their work click here. 

Vitality and Shared Ministry Goals 

On Friday, the Cabinet sent letters to clergy appointed to the local church and key church leaders to set goals for vitality and shared ministry for 2017. Peace with Justice Grants 

The Board of Church and Society of the United Methodist Church of Greater New Jersey believes that vital congregations are congregations deeply rooted in mercy and justice ministries. Christian discipleship is centered in living out the love and grace of God that we have experienced.
