There have been some changes to the administrative staff for the Southern Region. Debbie Sidorakis, who has been serving the Southern Region for the last year, will be moving to the Central Region support team. Debbie has served our region well under a time of many transitions and we thank her for her service. 
 
We are fortunate to have Megan McKay step into the role of Southern Region support on a temporary basis while we search for a permanent replacement. Megan served as the Skylands District Administrative Assistant in 2015 and is familiar with the business of the local church.  If you know of a qualified administrative assistant who we should consider for this open position, please refer them to the career opportunities pages on our website.
 
We’re making this change in staffing to better suit the needs of the three regions in Greater New Jersey. Debbie will remain a resource to us and to Megan even as she transitions to her new position. 
 
In addition to the regional support person who handles the statistical reports and overall administration, the Southern Region is staffed by an administrative support team that includes two resourcing administrators for events and registrations as well as a communications administrator for emails and newsletters. Our full support team remains ready to serve our local churches and their needs.

Southern Region Day of Learning
Thank you to Pitman United Methodist Church and ALL those that attended and served at the Southern Region Day of Learning. There was strong attendance, good reviews and the Spirit was moved mightily as we remembered and claimed our passion for ministry.
Lenten Series: Roll Down, Justice!
The General Commission on Religion and Race (GCORR) presents the Lenten resource, Roll Down, Justice!, a six-part series based on the collection of social justice hymns recently published by Mark Miller of Drew University School of Theology. The series also includes a study guide written by Dr. Faye Wilson.

Clergy and Spouse Pre-Retirement Seminar

Outbound: A Day on Evangelism
Keynote speaker, Paul Nixon, author of "Weird Church"
Date: March 25, 2017

Cost: $20 per person or $80 for a group of 5 or more; Korean lunch included

Workshops will include best practices in social media and video, conducting a church communication audit, developing a fresh expression of church and more.

Revolutionizing Stewardship Action Planning and Training
Pastors are encouraged to form a team from their congregation to attend a three session training to create a year-round stewardship action plan and Fall 2017 campaign.

TRACK 1: Churches UNDER 250 in average worship attendance
(Must attend all 3 sessions)

Session One: March 25, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Session Two: April 30, 2017 from 2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Session Three: June 24, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

TRACK 2: Churches OVER 250 in average worship attendance
(Must attend all 3 sessions)

Session One: March 18, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Session Two: May 13, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Session Three: June 24, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Location and cost is TBD. Registration coming soon.
