Wellness Screening Registration
Blueprint for Wellness screenings will be offered at the 2018 Annual Conference at the Wildwoods Convention Center on May 21-22Click here to register before May 6. Additionally, participants may take the screening at their local Quest Lab from April 1 - July 31.

Mission U, an annual education opportunity offering studies for effective mission ministry in local churches, co-sponsored and coordinated by GNJ United Methodist Women, is hosting two one day events, July 14 at Georgian Court University in Lakewood and July 21 at Calvary Korean UMC in East Brunswick, and a 3 day event option. Moving Expenses for Clergy Become Taxable Income beginning 2018

The IRS have made recent changes to federal tax laws pertaining moving expenses for clergy. Those clergy who are moving in 2018 will have church-paid moving costs reported as income on their W-2 form for 2018 taxes. Does a Pastor Need Personal Insurance? 

YES. Church insurance only protects the parsonage and its church-owned contents. A pastor residing in a church owned parsonage must purchase renters insurance to cover their personal liability and property/contents. Click here to learn more.

Princeton Log College Project 
The Log College Project is an innovative initiative at Princeton Theological Seminary to help Christian congregations design, test, and implement new models of youth ministry. 12 congregations will receive $15,000 grants to build new ministries that take theology and young people seriously. Bishops Seek Judicial Council Ruling 
The United Methodist Council of Bishops is asking the denomination’s top court for a declaratory decision on what petitions can be submitted to the special called General Conference in February 2019. Click here to read the press release.

The United Methodist Global AIDS Conference will be held Oct. 25-27 in Indianapolis, IN. June 1 is the deadline for the 'Call for Papers' which seeks leadership proposals for five specific workshops and an opportunity to share talents and passion for an AIDS-free world.
